sticky clutch

i was just wondering if there is something wrong with my clutch that i could fix , or do i have to replace it ??? it realy sticks , its causing my car to shift realy hard... when car is not started the shifter moves very freely so i know its the clutch and not the trany... i have a 85 parts car but my car is a SA (1980) somone said i could pull the flywheel and clutch outa the 85 , and replace my flywheel and clutch ? can this be done

Are you getting any rattling noise while drivign liek a bad throw out bearing? (Release bearing)

Only way to see how things look is take it apart.
Check your clutch slave Do you still have pressure in the line?Nice clutch pedal feel?

im gonna check that all out tomrow but ya my clutch feels like stepping into a realy thick sponge... lol no noise while driving just REALY hard shifts... when car is shut off i can easaly very freely shift the gears...but when i start it up push in the clutch it shifts very hard...

I would check the hydraulic systems before tearing into it. I mean, if its not something internal and you go and do all that work and then get it back together without checking the "easy" stuff first, you probably would have done all that work for nothing. Might as well check the stuff you can get to first.
