Steering wheel play

Holy Moly!
That video shows about how much play I have as well. If you're going fast enough you won't even notice it.
Once while racing at Road Atlanta the steering box sector gear broke and I had 180 degrees or more of play. You talk about scary! I started thinking about my wife and kids and what I have done with my life and then decided to pull into the pits.

Cripes almighty! You weren't kidding. That's some SERIOUS play. My current bushings are a bit worn and I'm not getting a third that much play. (I do have the stock wheel. . . . but still) I've got to go with something IS wrong with your steering box. Maybe it wasn't rebuilt properly? The steering system isn't that complicated. It can only be so many things. Best luck with the power steering helping.

Dont mean to steal a thread but since we have a lot of guys in here that know about the steering section parts...
I recently rammed my front driver side wheel into a curb while spinning out.
The car hit the curb, hopped up on the curb and SPUN OUT WHILE on the island , and finally landed on the other side of the road facing the other direction.
I dont know where to begin to fix this problem...
Here are some pics.
The passenger side looks lined up and straight.
And the rear wheels seem to be fine.
And also another thing I found out is the brake rotor is bent as well. (the side that was hit)

Also took pics of the under carriage
Im not too sure of the names. But those little curvy metal tie rod things are not the same shape.
The side that was impacted became MORE curvy.

Essentially just replace the parts that are extra curvy and then go get a tire alignment. I figure it'll probably set you back $100 total if you order and swap the parts yourself. (tie rod ends are ~$25 and an alignment is ~$50 generally) (I don't remember off-hand what the rod itself costs though) You have to use your own judgement though on what needs replacing. It's a bit hard to eyeball how curvy is 'too' curvy.
Yours looks fine from what I can tell, but once something similar happened to me and I managed to bend the control arm. That was hard to find.
