steam comming from rotors

My wife just pulled up in her 83. She said that it is over heating. I found steam and a hissing noise comming from the right hand side of the oil fill tube. There was no fluid in the over flow tank. I am thinking the motor is done. What do you think?

The temp sending unit is to the right of the oil filler tube check to make sure that this is inplace properly. It could be that this broke or worked lose and the fluid came out here.

Thanx guys. It was dark and raining when my wife came home, so I didn't get a good look at the situation. Vic is right on. There is a heater hose right next to the sending unit, and it looks like there is a small cut in it.

Thanx again for the help,

Troy
