SR Racing carbs: Your experience with the product?

So I remember there being a thread about SR Racing carbs being shipped to their new owners (from the first run of carbs), but it's been deleted. I'm wondering who got one of the first carbs, and what are they like? How do they run? I'm looking at carb options, as my Nikki is being a cold-hearted ***** currently, and this is at the top of my list.

Thanks!

-Jim

Copy of my response on the other forum:

Hey, I am the owner of SR Race Engineering. We had a couple issues with the first batch of carbs. due to air horns and bodies being swapped (something Sterling warned me about after they went out) but it looks to be resolved now.

Hi Rich-
We spoke via Facebook (Jim Whitehead is the name). I'm wondering what people think of them, and how they're working in the real world. I'm leaning toward ordering a carb from you, and I'm researching my options currently.

Yea, no sweat. Just wanted you to have full disclosure from the horses mouth. Just let me know if you need any more info from me. Also, I'm sending a carb to a member in the Tampa area for flow testing next weekend.

Awesome. I'm anxious to hear what it flows. Any idea on the ETA for the numbers? And is the carb his payment for the flow testing services, or will that one be up for grab?

It's going to be Clubber's carb. that gets tested. Hopefully numbers will come a week or so of me sending it.

Rich, you should send me one for "autocross testing".

Not that I am unhappy with my Sterling, but if you ever wanted a comparison just let me know...

The Maxton is used extensively for autocrossing so I'll let you know soon.

SR has had mine for a few months..I am anxious to get it back. Rich has been in communication with me, and seems very up front.

That being said...I can't tell you how it works yet, but it is going on my newly rebuilt street ported motor. I will post data as it comes available.
