Squeaky BRAKES!!

My brakes wont stop squeaking, but they only squeak when I barely push the brake, if I slam on them no squeak! I have put the no squeak stuff on the backs of them. I also sanded both the disks and rotor down becuase the felt glazed. Still squeaks. What next? Should I get my rotors turned and buy new pads?
Please HELP???

Most likely your rotors are slightly warped, creating vibration between the pad backing plate and caliper, which makes the noise you are talking about..

Permatex makes a goo you put on the backing plate to insulate the vibrations.

i had the same problem, and it got worse after i had a shop put new pads in, and turn the rotors. i then took it to a friend of mine that works at a shop after it drove me crazy. i picked up some permaquiet pads, and had him install them.
while he was installing them, he noticed that the little clips that hold them snug were missing on two of the callipers. i called up a buddy of mine that worked at a parts store, and picked them up. put them in, and made a world of difference.
i doubt that this is a common problem, but it was the case for me, and i went through two sets of pads trying to fix it! damnit!

My '85 did that, but only when the car was cold. As soon as I drove it for a bit the squeek went away. I turned out that who ever ( and I know who) did the last break job befor I bought the car, put the rear pads in worng, and the do-hicky for the hand break was not seated against the pad properly and caused the pads to sit uneven, and ware funny, this caused squeeking noises. But its probably a long shot for the above problem, but its still and option.

Moral of this story is don't let the Toyota Dealer do a break job on a mazda
