Speedometer Question
OK, i got my 4.444 Racing Beat Ring and Pinion gears today. Im going to go ahead with the installation this week-end. Just wondering how to get the Speedometer to read accurately??? I believe that the Odometer will also be off... Can this be fixed as well? Anyone done this before? Dont want to add extra miles on the beautiful RX-7 for nothing! Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks much '85 GSL

Yep, I ran into this problem when I installed my 4.44 gears as well. So, what I did was have a ratio box made up.
It's a little gear box that sits between the speedo cable and the speedo drive gear. I worked out the error by driving my car a known distance and observing how much the odo. was off by. I then had the ratio box made to suit. It's good because this way it takes into account the non-stock diameter tires I have on the back as well.
