speaking of noises

around about 3.5k i get a slight wine... at 4k you can tell it... and at 7k wow... i thought it might be a loose fan belt but someone told me it could be becuase the gears on the shaft are straight and not angled to reduce noise. could this be the case? just wondering if i need to worry about it or not.. i have replaced the belts and maybe i need to tighten them up some... but at times the sound is not there at all and i can got to 7k althey way though the gears... although i have never had 5th that high...damn

alt belt but as usual, remove and install the belts one at a time, then rev the motor. thats how you pin point the problem. also, when installing new belts, dont make it too tight. instead, re-adjust the tension after 20 miles or so.

we thought our fan was loud untill the belt broke.

found out it wasent the belt that was bad. the fan shaft or the thingy the fan attaches too was bent.
(no professional here..)

so now it has an electric fan.. and lol no more belt..
