Spark Plugs, rear housing

So, I put a new set of plugs on today, and it reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask.

Are the spark plugs on the rear housing supposed to stick out further than those on the front? My car runs fine and everything, but both the rear plugs stick out more than the fronts. The leading plug especially. Normal, weird, am I going to die randomly some time?

Like I said, this is my second set of plugs where I noticed this and nothing has gone wrong so far. But I figured it would be a good idea to check.

the front and rear housing are identical. everything should be identical. I'd check your threads.

I thought so.

I wonder why there are no performance issues associated with it? You'd think it would effect it somehow.
