Spark Plugs?
#2
My friend is almost doing that. He has a GSL-SE engine in a rotary truck which is using a modified Nikki carb and manifold with BUR 7 and 9 plugs. It seems to be running fine. It's running a little rich at the moment though, but I think it's because the air filter is kinda dirty. It fires up and runs pretty good.
If you really want to find out for yourself if BUR7(and 9)EQ plugs work better or worse in your engine, go ahead. The stock setup calls for BR9EQ-14. My bro ran his with BR8EQ-14 and I don't think it messed up the engine or anything. They are just one heat range hotter than the 9s.

On the BUR7EQ & TRAILING PLUGS NGK #BUR9EQ what's the advantage of running a hotter plug in the lead? Wouldn't the 7 tend to burn up quicker than a 9?

I've been using the platinum tip NGK from the second Gen's for about a year now. They last about three times longer than the regular plugs. By the way I am using them on a 82 GSL 12A...and it runs much better than the original plugs....
