I have checked the spark, good on all. I am getting fuel, I am squirting it directly into the carb. I did not mention before the motor is street ported, I do understand this can affect timing. I have tried setting the timing at 0 deg as well as several other degrees I came across on random sites. What is correct for a large street port? 17deg atdc? I can smell exhaust I am getting the occasional pop so my unexperienced guess would say timing. I understand it is possible to put the dizzy drive gear in backwards. Anyway of knowing this? Would flipping timing 180 deg resolve this? You can probably guess this is my first experience with a rotary.

Thanks
