Manntis, it's a Triumph GT6.. very rarely seen out driving anymore.. we run a Triumph resto shop and that's pretty much the main kind of car we've got kicking around in all our garages.. oh, and I'd like to apoligize to thecause17 for hijacking his thread..

I wish it worked like that around here

I always get hassled about my 7 sitting in my driveway, my toyota hilux 4x4 chassis sitting in the backyard, and my non-running toyota truck to match in the driveway...

Thanks Alex, but he already said Triumph GT6. I knew it was British

The BRG one around here is gorgeous.

hehe, thats what my yard will look like when I get to Arizona. Every block out there has at least 2 old Z cars, or British cars.

I've already got the 7, and my 71 MGB Sebring roadster to get started.

The GT6 makes a great rotary conversion, if one were to do such a thing. Or so I've heard.

Hey cause... the spacer for the alternator goes on towards the back of the engine.. see how the alternator belt is a tad forwards? I know this because I did that recently after rebuilding my water pump

That's right. That belt won't last long.

Sorry about the double post. The forum kept acting up so I left the text in the little box and resent after a couple hours.

RMD, alright smartass... you're starting to act like that jhclayton guy.. LOL And it's a 280! Fuel injected, even.. Besides, I'm calling dibs on it.. I need something to put a V8 in and you RX7 guys would blackball me if I did it to my '82..

--Danny
Sorry, so I dont know my Z cars yet, lol . Im sure its worth more than $100, I was just messing around . But I do know what you mean by him always seeming to low ball people . Oh well. I just wanted a Z car to drop a huge tricked out engine in, maybe supercharged or something .
Cant believe TJ didnt spot it, he's usually the nitpicky one.
Hey!! I resemble that remark!! ...Or was it resent?? Hmm...

That, and not only am I somewhat nitpicky, but Ive had my alternator off and on replacing it now so many times now its not even funny .

The GT6 is a pretty good candidate for a 13B swap, but the Spitfire is better IMO. Either way, you have to do something about the diff and rear suspension. They were never intended to take anything like the power of the rotary.
BTW, that looks like a Spit behind the blue Z. What year? And is that yellow LBC a TR?
Very few of the older brit cars could touch an RX7 for performance, but DAMN are they fun!

Why won't the manifold bolt back up? you just disconnected the down pipe and air pump line when you pulled it didn't you? should line back up...

You'll have the title soon. PA has as long as 90 days to do it but I usually get mine back in less than 60 days.

I think the wheels would look good powercoated white or black. They are lighter than the stock ones... Remember I have the 5 spoke ones if you want something different, not stylish but different than the phone dials...

Jim down the road...

Which ones were the 5-spokes? I don't remember. So you don't have the stock SE wheels anymore? You'll get two pretty much new tires back with these ones, I replaced those two that were really dry rotted. Plus they're repainted now, not a super job, but they look a lot better than they did. I e-mailed you back before, but we know how hotmail is, you must not have gotten it.

I'm not sure why the manifold isn't lineing back up, but I'mgonna disconnect the exhaust further back so I can maeuver it better, and it should be fine.

Thanks guys for pointing out the alt. spacer, I didn't notice. I've had this engine completely stripped and put back together, I have been moreworried about where all the other stuff goes.

Speaking of the title Jim, I got it yesterday. I thought it was my registration for my truck and it turned out to be my title for the 7. So as soon as it's running, I'm putting insurance on it, and getting it ready for the road. And don't worry, I didn't forget about this engine....Hours have been down at my job, and I've been barely gettin by, so I've been slow to get that to you, sorry.

Soon I hope, to be driving this thing....I hate having it sitting in the yard.

I'm also in the middle of replacing the dash. After I'm done, most of the interior will be black instead of red. Should look a lot better.

Here's some pics of where I'm at with the interior. It's trashed.

Pile 'o' Parts.

New dash....great shape, no cracks, just needs some attention from some protectant to shine it back up.

The essentials, mosc. parts, tape, and Mt. Dew.
