So I Just Got My Re-Speed Bar...

So I got my re-speed sway bar today. And so far I'm having some issues. The bar itself looks great. Nothing wrong there. However the hardware is not working out. The bolts that are meant to hold the end links to the bar are NOT threading in what so ever. Is it possible I got the wrong hardware? They won't thread in to the bar, or the nuts provided to be used on the other end of the end-link. I was just wondering if some of you guys running the respeed front sway bars or Sam himself could give me some insight here.

Does it seem like the threads are the wrong size? Maybe he got a batch of bad or wrong parts. Email him or give him a call and he'll get it straightened out.

You're going to love that bar...

Well the bolts will go in about one and a half turns, and then stop. Similar to a cross threaded situation, but they dont appear to be cross threaded. It almost appears that the bar was tapped crooked.

I took the bar to ACE Hardware, the people there are very used to me bringing in stange parts for nuts and bolts lol, and tried several different bolts/threads. None threaded in any more than the provided bolts.

I sent him an email to get it straightened out, I just hope I don't have to cover all the shipping, going international isnt cheap!

I know the bar is worth it, I just really hope it doesnt take another 6 weeks to get the new bar. If it does, so be it.

P.S. Isnt the bar supposed to have the re-speed logo on it? How will everyone know who made my awesome sway bar?!

Any chance it's because of the powdercoating? I've had problems with a few of the RE-Speed parts because the powdercoat is so thick it causes fitment issues.

Im going to run a tap through it today (same threading) to try and clean it out. If that doesnt work, he'll fix it for me

Did you receive a decal along with the bar (separately)? I think he sends them "unmounted" to avoid damage during installation now. My triangulated strut bar came that way, which is nice because I want to paint it with plasti-dip (color change/protection) before I install it.

Glad Sam has you covered. I knew he would.

I had no doubt he would take care of me. I was just hoping it wouldnt take long since i am obviously excited to install the bar!

Ill have to double check for the decal. Didnt see it in the box.
