My se is coming very slowly due to my being boged down with school. But with the end in just over a week and 3-weeks of nothing before summer school I'm just about ready to tear into it again and finish the rust repair.

Although I have still been driving it every week regardless

Mine is coming along slowly, too. Have to finish the exhaust before I start trouble shooting the turbo install. But all the parts for the turbo are installed and the car does start and move, thats a bonus. It's just not happy when the boost hits. Once I finish making the exhaust shouldnt be too hard. Hopefully.

Anyone in the lower beltway area of DC wanna help?

My 79 is going well. Got the front pulled and sheetmetal on it over christmas. Swaped the RB muffler from virfighter onto it. will get the e-fan on next week, wheel studs have come in so I can put the wide wheels on. Hope to change the black interior from virfighers car and 2nd gen seats over next weekend. Need to sell some more SE stuff so I can get a GSL rear, and planing on changing the front suspension out with some 85 parts I have.

Mine isn't a full out project, but its comming along nicely. After seeing the rust I had to deal with, I would say its come a LONG way. Not the prettyest car yet, but after I get some money, I plan on a new engine (probably streetported 4 port 13B with blowthrough turbo), get a paint job, and some new interior parts. Passed the safety check yesterday without a problem.

Check my cardomain site out. Click on WWW at the bottom of this post.

My 1980 SA has been back on the road for nearly a week. It was down for two weeks as I had removed the dash and was working on recovering it with new vinyl. After working on that for about 4 nights I found a black dash on ebay and decided to purchase that instead.

I added foglights and painted interior pieces, converting burgandy to black, while I waited to receive new dash. Received dash and installed. No cracks but faded, I think that I will continue to work recovering my old dash as I much prefer the look and feel of the new vinyl. Maybe consider fiberglass.

I have pulled out all of the carpet. Removed storage bin pannels (mine doesn't have storage bins). The carpet had held in water at this low spot of the cargo deck and they were really rusted. The underneath floor is good, some surface rust where the panels met the floor.

This weekend I plan to lightly sand, primer, and paint infected areas of the rear cargo floor.

Future, new carpet when I can afford it and the interior cleanup should be complete.

I'm cleaning the engine bay out right now. That dirt is SO hard to get off. Steam doesn't work, soap doesn't work, and none of those natural degreasers work. It looks perfect when wet, then when it dries, there is still dirt.
Any suggestions?
Try one of the orange cream-type hand cleaners with pumice.
