Works great! The air gap in between the plates does a hell of a job.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

That 1/4"NPT is what Atkins sends with the kit. I'm gonna have to look into that.

I was going to use your cookie sheet idea, but too much snow to go out, so just did the ss. I didn't get a chance to take pics of the lower intake. It is now installed:

Yeah that piece is nicely done. You think it'll be ok to drill and tap the top of it for the water injector? Or will that disturb the air flow?

Hmm? Available ports, but I don't think it will work. The small filter on the injector sticks way in the cavity and no room to screw in the 1/8 pipe. And sticks out too much inside the manifold if I don't screw it all the way in. So I will either drill and tap the top, or use the 1" adapter.

The car is looking great! Glad to see that you are taking the 7 to new heights, and that someone is taking care of her. That supercharger is gonna be absolutely sick on there. Thanks for making my project even better.

Just as a side note, the car you are all viewing here is the same one in my avatar....

Hey the previous owner Jamie!
Yes she is getting a very nice transformation from when you had it. You should see how the interior came out. It's a jaw dropper. Alot of changes from when you had it. It came a long way from that patchy brown that it was. After all the engine work gets done, it's off to paint. I think Carlos'es idea of championship white will suit it best.

She is in good hands

How's it going with the GSR? I heard you have the engine out and that you didn't get the shipment. Do me a favor and push Carlos to send you more Acura parts. He's got way too many parts including that GSR that will never get done and I need to make room for my stuff. *Bad wife bad wife* I already told him that i'm going to put stuff in the trash little by little. He wants to put a line now between the garage. MEN!

Kim,

I think what you're doing with the seven is fantastic. I couldn't be happier. I heard that you threw some Rx-8 seats in there also? I bet those look incredible. I think a repaint would be a fantastic idea. I never had the money to have it painted, so I had to settle and do it myself. It turned out okay, but I can understand why you'd want to repaint it.

Do me a favor and put some more pictures of it up. I want to see the finished interior if you have any pics of it.

As far the as the GSR, it is coming along pretty well. I had the head milled down 0.020", new headgasket, fidanza flywheel & exedy clutch, cold air intake, header, working on some fuel upgrades too. Any parts that you can force Carlos to give up would be more than helpful. Haha. Unfortunately I never got the box he sent me, so we are trying to locate it right now. Hopefully it will turn up, cause I need those stupid connectors that I broke on the wiring harness. At any rate keep up the good work, and post some more pics for me.

I'm going to have to come pay the car a visit sometime when you get it all put back together and running. I still can't believe that it is getting a supercharger.

later,
Jamie

Hahaha, thanks. I will push him. I'm glad the GSR project is going well. Soon I will post pics of everything once I get this charger going.

Lookie what I received in the mail today! All I can say is "A thing of beauty"
I will let the pics speak for themselves:

Mazdatrix short throw
Perforated leather shift and e brake boots with red stitch to match seats
RX-8 seats with heated seats and custom switches from a Saab.
Delphi GPS
Escort Passport 8500 X50

I can't wait to hear your feedback on the wber and especially the water injection. Mine is still at least a month away from the street. When do you think you'll be running?

Will not be running until I get a wideband, and finish the w/m injection. Now i'm trying to figure out what plugs to use since i'm running the MSD direct fire with the 2nd gen coil. Right now i'm running BUR7EQ's on leading and BR9EQ14's on trailing.

You guys think I should move up to colder plugs? BUR9EQ's and BR9EQ14's?

Robert, Kick ***! Thanks. Got it in 2 frickin days! Yes I want a job. Plus I'm getting sick of the cold and snow here! I would love to move to Cali! LOL

My other favorite Puerto Rican!

That's what i'm working on now. I think that I will have to use the spacer for the injector. I'd really hate to drill a hole on top of that manifold cause it looks so good.
So I will try it on the spacer, if that doesn't work good, then I will tap the top of the manifold and eliminate the spacer.

I have lots of stuff to do, and it's getting overwhelming.
Modify throttle cable bracket
finish carb
install fan, hoses, anti freeze, oil, filter.
Fuel lines, fpr.
w/m injection.
Plugs
Lots of tedious small stuff. Plus I found out the msd with the 2nd gen coil isn't a good set up with the charger, so I'm looking into ignition again. Will probably find a CDI coil and replace the 2nd gen one and see how that works.

I heard about the locked distributor. I think 84 stock has his timing set at stock with the vacuum running to the charger.
Thanks Robert for pointing out more stuff that I have to figure out and do. LOL

If i did lock it, what's a good medium to lock it at?

Ahh screw it! I'm going to McDonalds and getting a double fish filet. I need to clear my mind.

Then I wish you luck, lol. Blech, I'd eat something healthy to clear my mind, if it needed clearing.

To lock a dizzy, most people take the springs out, crank the mech advance fully on, then tack it with a welder so if the welds ever break, the engine will retard at low RPM and won't advance itself death up to 4k and beyond.

One way I'm going to try, which ought to be an improvement, and since you need to tear the dizzy down and fumble around in its nether regions to lock them anyway, why not mod just the shaft? That way, if you want to return it to mechanical advance, you can just swap shafts with a stock one.

What you'll notice once you dig down deep enough, is that there is a slot in which a thick locator pin on the weights rides. If you install something to prevent the pin from moving, such as a weld bead or a piece of a bolt welded in place, this will effectively prevent the dizzy from advancing, and could be reversed if desired.
