This smoking problem getting confussing
Sorry guys, I did a research and can't really find anything that matches my problem. I have an 84 rex that smoked really bad all the time, I pulled it into the garage and drained the antifreeze and oil. I have no oil in the antifreeze and no antifreeze in the oil. I do however have a very strong gas smell in my oil snd it is very thin. I found that one of the coil wires wasn't connected as well as one of the spark plug wires. I pushed them back on and found that the distibuter nut was missing and replaced it. Put new fluids in and pulled it out of the garage still smoking. back into the garage checked omp and even pulled it off and broke it down and put it back together. once again pulled the rex out of the garage, would idle but very little smoke. I messed with the timing abit and got it to idle still very little smoke. I then messed with a couple of screws on the carburator smoke went away, I took it for a test drive, did fine on city streets but when I got out on the highway and punched it, smoke bellowed out the exhaust. returned home. Now I have no smoke at idle and low rpms but as soon as I reach 4500 rpms smoke. Please let me know if this is an easy fix, If not, the engine is going to be pulled and rebuilt.D.

You got some bypass on your oil seal rings, these are the 2 rings on each side of the rotor that keeps the oil in the center of the rotor for the eccentric-shaft lubrication and away from the compression/combustion/exhaust rotor faces.
The higher rpm's build preassure in the internal oil chamber(oil pressure is higher) and these seals will pass oil if they are failing, debris under them or the seal springs slipped or misaligned. If your compression is good you can get a seal and gasket kit and rebuild the engine to freshen it up. Just one idea.

forgot to mention compression is at 60 psi or 400 kpa in all four areas, not sure if this is good or not. And why was there so much gas in my oil?

Thanks for the replies. Into the garage here we go for how long no one knows, and if I don't screw things up, and with a 'lil bit of luck, she'll be cruising the roads and having fun by the loads. D.
