Question "Sleepy" head light conversion

I did a search and couldn't find anything on it. I have found the kits for the miata and would like to try it, but was wondering if any of you have done this and know what is different between the miata and the Rx7?

I know ssglopezvm has done it, but he hasn't been online or responded to my pm's...

Does anyone know what modifications need to be made for it to work on the Rx7?

Your help/input is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, if you do a search, you will find it's a kit for a Miata that can be made to fit a 7.

The kit ssglopezum has is from Brainstorm, I just saw it on sale for $309. at HorsepowerFreaks.com.

Yes I know...

My searches did not yield any answers to my question.

I created and posted in quite a few of those threads....

My question was if anyone knew what was involved in modifying the kits to fit the 7.

I have already done a search and have found 2 different kits from 3 or so different companies, I've done my homework people...

I was just wondering if anyone else who has done a kit could tell me what, if anything, needed to be changed in the installation to make it fit the Rx7.

Thanks for the input, but thats all not helpful info for me.

I was being sarcastic, hard to tell though. You are correct, that is all the info you can find by searching.

that ricer mod is easy to do.

1st
open hood

2nd
go towards the nearest front of your car, but @ the side of the headlight

3rd
you will see this black rubber cover on top of the **** which controls the headlights

4th
tear open or remove the cover; both top and bottom

5th
remove/detach the plug below.. should be a 4-pin plug i believe

6th
now, turn the **** manually and adjust the headlight to your liking. ala sleepy eye of course

repeat for the other side

Note:
however, by doing this you won't be able to put up or down your headlights via switch (inside cockpit) since the plug is detached. if you want an adjustable sleepy headlight that you can control via switch, these steps are not for you. you will have to source diff. info for it.

it's only a good thing to use during the day when cruisin' or something. g-thuggin'!...

The dual headlights look great. But are they always in the "up" position?
You can't open and close them from the switch?

I can open and close them... however, because of the intercooler and pipes running underneath them, they are set up in the "up" position.

ssglopezvm! I was wondering what happened to you.

Could you please post what, if any, modifications were needed to make the kit fit the 7?

I would be ever so grateful!

Sorry man...been away for a while.....just got back from Puerto Rico.

If youre keeping them in the "up" possition....No modifications needed, If you want them to open and close.... work with the linkage.... Modified them/fabricate linkage in alluminum.

If you need more info... PM me with your #
