Size of stock oil cooler?

I developed a leak in my large (12x11") Mocal oil cooler on my car. I'm not sure if it can be fixed, so I was wondering what the dimensions are for the Mazda air-oil cooler to see if I can get one to fit.

Thanks

Are you talking about external diminsions ? or capacitiys ? I can tell
you that the cooler you have (race) is larger and depending where
you mount it,,works the same or better then a 12a stock unit mounted
under the rad. I'm not sure of the internal spec's,number of cores,
amount of fins, angle of the fins, thickness,or flow rate , of a stock mazda 12a rotory engine air-to-air oil cooler,,why don't you stick to what you have already? or direct replacement for it ?? I have a couple of books
that may have some info,,if so,,then i'll post results

I want to know what the external dimensions of the Mazda cooler are.

Several reasons:

1) My nice big cooler has a small leak and it is out of warranty
2) A replacement 44 row cooler will run about $400.
3) I would like to know if the Mazda part will come close to fitting.
4) My friend is building a similar car and would like to keep the cost down by using as may stock parts as possible.

Thanks

Ok,,the stock cooler is 22 inchs long, 5 inchs tall,and has 6 rows(cores)
at the web site RX heaven used coolers are $ 100.00 dollors
and at mazdatrix they can be bought new,,I just bought a new cooler
from them,,for to much money !! $ 634.70,,,ouch !!
Your car is an MG ?? or is it an bug-eye,,, cool concept though..

Thanks. One dimension missing - how thick is the core? I am tight on space so it does matter.

The car started life as a '76 MG Midget.

Is the 12a cooler the same size as the 13b coolers?

Ok, the last dimension is just about 2 inchs at the core ( center )
slightly thicker on the ends ( caps ) looking at the picture ( below )
they seem pretty close, as far as size wise

I dont know about the GSL-SE but the second gen is significantly larger than the first gen 12a oil/air cooler. I just put a TII oil cooler in my 83. I should be so much faster now that I have TII parts right?
