Sideskirt on widebody yes or no? (Pics)

I figured I'd get your opinions b4 I went out and made any changes.

BTW: I'm plan on installing the Bomex whale tail they make for the supra. I'll probably have to custom fit it, but it's so cheap it might be worth it.

$209

Any opinions on my choices let's hear them.

Be gentle

Hmm, I don't know, the side skirts might look promising, if only you had a complete side shot of it.

Yeah, I'd have to say GO with the sideskirts.

The regular widebody FBs always look like someone gave up on trying to work on the door section.

I'm thinking of buying the CP style kit, and molding something custom out of my Kaminari kit and the CP kit together.

Gregs............you mean the one that was still in primer?

If so, that car was nicely done. Except for those taillights. Now where the hell is that pic!!!

oh yeah definately go for the side skirts.looks much better just watch it when you get out so you don't break 'em that is probably why the factory didn't put them in with the kit

This is the one. Nice car, but I don't like the taillights or the wing. I think it's just that I really don't like Altezza-style lights. With regular red ones, it might look good.

Definately WITH.

I ordered the Mariah Mode 4 Side Skirts, to modify them
and put them on my Mode 1.

Should look pretty good when done... eventually.

With the skirts looks good if it's done right. it's kinda hard to believe mariah doesn't have any mode one skirts. DF i'll buy the end caps from the skirts when your finished, thats going to be alot of work.

.....WITH

and it'll help keep the road debris off of the rear fenders.

I put some of that clear protective film on the front side of my rear fender on my Mariah.

two widebodys (Mariah mode 1) the red one is mine.
you can compare styles with/without sideskirts.

I prefer the looks with skirts, but that's personal.
Your car is serious bit wider so the skirts will look rather hefty. Should be cool.

with. the rock, pebble, and sand problem is a good point above. I know the chip and pit marks in that area of my car well from little bits of stuff coming up from the road and hitting there.

The sideskirts definately tie the front and rear together better. Like Cody said, looks like they dropped the ball on the doors without them.

I don't think that blue car in the picture is an FB look at the rear window. I would also say side skirts.. I like your color. Looks nice.

He's talking about the blue wide body 1st gen this thread is based around... The other blue rx7 has stock wheels(3rd gen) One thing i feel mariah dropped the ball on, is the mode one's lack of side skirts. It looks un-finished.. The mode 6 body kits incorperate a side skirt with a NACA duct that looks like it belongs there. well thought out and has to be my favorite from design energy.. I really like the euro (porsche) rear view mirrors
on magnus's white 7. Home boy has a point about too large of a side skirt. My mode four skirts aren't too wide
and still shoe's seem to find them. the scuffs tell the story.
