Side Window Trim
#2
If I remember correctly there is a guide pin in the center that locks it in to the mounting plate and there is a adhesive tab at the top (wide end of triangle) that keeps the plastic trim peice flush with the metal bracket it mounts to.

In my experience you *will* break it. lol Your best bet is to get a screwdriver in there as close to the pin as possible and lever it up. The pins break very easily and don't lose the little clip the holds the pin in the bracket.

Pins break, I have not found anyway around it. I have used black rtv and masking tape for re-install with success. Make sure the triangle is straight when taping down for the rtv to set, I have one that is crooked.

Thanks
Ok, you have succeeded in scaring me to the point that I will paint the triangle while installed on the car. I don’t even want to ask about the windshield trim I have already read, buy the clips you will break them. I just wish I had the tool or new the trick to get by those clips to release the window trim.
