Which side does the long pump jet go Mikuni 44
So i have a set of pump jets (or nozzles, whatever) One is longer than the other...
I have a copy of the manual but they are not clear on this.
Which side does the long one go on when looking at the carb from this angle?
Its a mikuni 44 sidedraft:

One of those has a flat spot on one side. That's an index so it will only fit in one spot, one way. You will see a matching flat spot in the hole in the carb body that it fits in. If you can't figure it out, tell me where you got that fancy jet cover and I'll take a look at mine.

Thanks, but the both the long and short pump jets have a flat spot!
I emailed Todd Walrich and this is what he had to say,
"The short ones is for a 44mm carb, the long one is for a 40mm carb. You can use the long one in a 44 but you cannot use a short one in a 400mm carb. Has to do with the bore size relative to the body size."
And, lol i made the fancy jet cover out of neccessaty. The owner of this carb before me had drilled holes in the top of it (dont know why). Since i have a lot of carbon fiber scrap lying around, i used some of the thin silver variety and epoxyed it in place.
If you would like i could send you a piece of carbon fiber (for free) that you could cut and apply with two sided tape to the top of your jet cover, i have red, silver and black.

I didn't think both of those jets were used, but it's been a while since I've had mine apart. Nice job on the cf work, I was just curious if you had made it since that's the only one I've seen.
