sick of all these nikki probs? here's another...
Well, just put new battery in after last set of postings on this, went for a strap this arvo and after parking it unplugged the solenoid from its constant 12v source. As i was inspecting my carb and contemplating a bit of a carbie spray clean up it started to pour petrol into each venturi. Quickly plugged the solenoid back in and it stopped instantly.
Now here is the problem... it is hooked up to 12v constant at the alternator, last time it drained my battery because its not a daily driver.
Repeated above (after running the flood thru turned off and unplugged 12v) when it started to drain I plugged the old solenoid lead in but it kept draining until I disconnected it and plugged the constant source in.
Checked float levels AS this was happening - both mid way sitting pretty.
Questions -
1. Is the old lead constant just lower amps / volts?
2. Can I remove this damn thing? (or should I not)
3. Is it a different problem all together?
