should i remove air pump or buy a new cat

hi
what is your opinion's should i remove the air pump.
or buy a new cat. will i loose any horsepower? or have a ruff idle? by removing the air pump.
if i do remove the air pump will i have to buy a electric fan?

No, no and no, just make sure you get a blockoff plate.

where does the blockoff plate go? on the back of the air pump? i took off the cat and replaced it with a straight pipe. but i cant seem to figure out where this blockoff plate would go. i just dont want to have to buy a new fan and everything . thats why i was wondering if blocking this off would cause problems.
