Should I go with the CP flush headlights? (widebody)
Hey guys,
I have been kind of flip flopping with the idea to go with the CP racing flush mount headlights. I have heard the typical negative things about the quality of the product, but im just curious as to if you guys think this would look good on my car.
I am going to go turbo with this car so the extra engine bay room (no head light motors) wouldn't hurt for when I goto do intercooler piping. Also my car looks like nothing else around, my goal is a car that pushes the limits of street legal, but is still legal. I WANT TO BE AS FAR AWAY FROM RICE AS POSSIBLE. Which is hard because everyone has a different definition of rice. But my goal is 400 RWHP, im putting on 315/35/17's on the back and 275/40/17's in the front and hopefully will be buying 17x12 and 17x10 CCW's to match. I don't want the car to be too much "bling bling" or overkill which I am afraid the flush mounts and huge wheels may do?
Headlights are one of the final pieces of my exterior I need to work out, im open to suggestions and comments!
Thanks!

Damn, I didn't think squirrels took to domesticating very well, how did you manage that? A pet squirrel would be awesome, I'd walk him around on a leash or something!

i personally dont like the flush mount headlight mod
if i had the money, i'd go with the sleepy headlight mod with
the 2 smaller round headlights....like the ones they make for miata's
but that's just my opinion. i think they were meant to "pop up"

Hah nice, I'm going to have to try to score me a baby squirrel. Green Amazon's are one of my favorites, they usually have a nice mild temperment, a whole lot better than african grey/etc.
Is that a 94-96 Impala I see in the background?

It's definatly a 94-96 chevy, either a caprice or an impala, it has impala rims, but I can't see the emblem behind the passanger window, so it's hard to say otherwise. (if that's what you were referring to).
Oh yeah, flushmounts would look OK on a black car, they look strange and stand out on other colors (like red/etc).

Yes, go with the flush mounted. Good looking engine bay.
Why go for such wide tires? Cars I know with a streetable 400rwhp, seem to perform best on much smaller, for example 17" 235/45 at the rear. Much wider tends to reduce handling and put great stress on the transmission. The fashion is to use a custom driveshaft, light truck diff, and 4 puck clutch.

i too was asking myself this question...i already went with the lazy eye look on my widebody rx7....i like the look but im still considering changing to the flush mount b/c i think they will look better once the car is painted black instead of the stock red....so i say go for it and put up some pics
as for the tires comment....on my widebody i run a set of 275/50/15's on the rear with eplison rims....and the front are 245/50/15...i didnt change the rims b/c i dont know my offset...how can i figure that out so that i could possible go with a larger set of rims...

the way i see it anything that adds performance i.e. fat *** tyres isnt rice in the slightest. and you need the widebody kit to run these tyres then so be it, coz it looks damn good anyway.
