Should I buy a used seat or just re cover my old seat...

My interior is just about mint in my 82, well, all except the driver's seat. It's in bad shape. The interior I have is the black vinyl with the velvet like center in the seat. Probably the "cheap seat" of that year.

My question is, should I have someone try and redo that seat, or should I hunt around for a used one? Anyone?

I had a seat coming apart at the outside seam, open from top to bottom with foam falling out. Vinyl was tattered as well. A local uphostery shop fixed it for $35. Looks like brand new!
Good Luck.
