Should I buy a SA or FB?
The time has come for me to look for a rx-7, but I dont know wich year is the best(for me). I looked on i-net and found some cars. There aren't to many here in The Netherlands
I didn't find a GSL-SE BTW. Seems there aren't any 13B's here.
I probably want to mod this in the future:
exhaust, intake, carb (aiming for 140-150HP)
springs, shocks, sway bars
LSD
Most rx-7's are from the year 1980. There is 1 from 1984 and 1 from 1985(this one is around $3500, bit to pricy for me).
Wich years be be best looking at the stuff I want to mod.

"""Contrary to popular belief, the '79-'80 carburetors do not flow more air, and the emulsion system requires far more work to correct the fuel curve."""

Does this mean that I won't be able to make my 140-150HP goal with a 1980 rx-7? I'm a bit confused here.

You probably won't be able to get 150 out of a stock 1980 SA by just changing the exhaust or whatever. You'd have to get the engine ported, the carb re-worked, new high-flow exhaust, etc. If you want that much HP, I would go with an SE, as they have 135hp stock.
