Before I made my own short shifter for my 79, I searched forever with no results finding a production short shifter for a 79-80 rx7.
If you have welding skills and access to a junkyard you can make a short shifter for about $15. I did and have posted instructions on how to make one follow these links here:

Stock, cut down shifter is on the right, the short shifter is on the left...
No I don't have the shifter anymore.. I sold it since I converted to a GSL-SE tranny, and no I won't make one.
next time search tho, cause the post like this one came up just last week.

Hey guys this was a just in case anyone wanted to know. I did some searching on the net and found a short shifter for SA's. NOPI carries the C's model short shifter. Unfortunately its a bit pricey. Here's the link http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...20Kit&vaffid=0
