setting up a weber on a stock port 12A
hello! my SA22C came with a weber 48ida and ive heard those are trouble to run on stock ports.. i have a 1-4 psi fuel pressure regulator and oem fuel pump, but still concerned that it’ll run very rich. any recommendations? i was suggested to bump down my emulsion tubes and that may help even things out (comes default at f8 from RacingBeat?? correct me if im wrong) but i would like to set it up correctly before i start it to save the hassle. thank u in advance!

First take inventory of everything else you have. What size chokes/venturis are there, main jets, idle jets?
Emulsion tubes handle the transition from the idle jets to the main jets. You'll know they are the problem if it runs fine but stumbles around 3000 rpm.
The 48 is a bit big for stock ports. I tried a 48 DCO on my mildly ported 12A and choked it down with 36-38mm venturis but it never ran smoothly.

+1 you're on the right track but you need to pull the jets and see what is in there.
the Weber is designed to be fully adjustable, but you do have to adjust it.
if you search for Weber White paper, i found a guy (who is really nice) and he wrote up a paper about how and why to tune a weber, it helps a lot a lot to just have the process
