i hear ya, i just bought mine less than a month ago and i'm infatuated with the entire Rotary concept. Not to mention that i LOVE the FB for its quirks and unique characteristics (even the ones that some hate i.e. the sometimes unpredictable handling) Of course, my car isn't exactly stock and the previous owner had just as much (if not more so) of a Love affair with the car. Funny how people can have such an emotional attachment to a big hunk of metal huh?

Nah the more stuff under the hood is just more that goes wrong.

I think I was fond the most of my 84 GSL.

The First gen RX-7 is probobly one of the most claically stylish cars of its era. They have an almost timeless quallity. I look at items my '84 GSL is outfited with Vs. other cars of the simmalar age, and these cars were soooo far ahead of there time.

Now on to the engin. The Rotory engin is poetry in motion. They run so smooth, the pure simplicity of the overall design of the rotory engin has an eligance that is unserpased.

Besieds they are just way cool cars

They are just easy cars to love

My (ex) girlfriend hates my 84 SE. She thinks they're ugly and crappy, and doesnt understand why I bought it. She believes her stock 93 Impreza is faster and better altogether. Needles to say, we broke up.

yeah I hear ya, think where just getting old?

Lately I have been more interested in jacking up my 4.0 ranger and doing work to it instead of the rx7.

Nice man! I'm glad you made the right choice. And also I had a good laugh about that Subaru thing.

I told my family I would sell my '85 to pay for the '91 vert I just "had to have."

Boy were they pissed when I decided to keep both of them

I could never part w/the SE, it's been bulletproof for 10 years!

The 'vert on the other hand...

Oh well, yin/yang and all that.

A modded 7 is a perfect 2nd car, or weekend car, etc.

My friend had a 7 and thats how I grew to know her. I instantly was attracted to her. She was alluring, unique in the outside and inside. Unlike the others, she stood out. I loved the powerband greatly more then a 4 stroke. I like mines with out the power steering.

They're cheap to build, cheap to maintain, easy to work on, and the most fun car to drive! I mean, how many other cars can you beat the dogshit out of, and have them keep coming back for more? I LOVE THESE CARS!

I like mine fine. I remember the simplicity of a stock 12a with nothing more then header exhaust and that was very reliable fun. Not too powerful, but fun.

Now I have boost and it is fast and tons of fun. But also worse on gas! Trade offs trade offs.
