Unhappy Selling my baby...

Hi guys,

Well, as much as I don't like to do it, I guess I'm gonna try to sell my '84 SE. Okay, here's what I know about the car. Currently has 156k on the odometer. DOES have the typical first gen rust in the wheelwells, but aside from that and a spot of surface rust on the panel between the headlights, the car is solid. When I had the car on the road, before we saw the rust, it drove great. The car got up and went, even with the six-ports disconnected. It had some idle gremlins, but I adjusted them out through the TPS (not the first place you should look, but it worked). Currently, the car doesn't start, but that's because I have the starter out. (I had a replacement starter for it, but I broke the solenoid cap off when installing it. D'oh!) The suspension was solid and the car handled pretty well, considering the junky tires on the stock wheels. The brakes worked great as well. All controls for the heater, air conditioning, etc. work and so did the rear wiper. I replaced the fuel filter when I got it, just to be safe. The power windows need to have the tracks cleaned and greased, as most 1st gens do. I replaced the driver side motor and both switches shortly after I got the car. All of the interior is there, and it's in very nice shape, aside from the typical fading of the door panels and shifter boot. There are no tears in any of the panels, and the carpet looks like new. The steering wheel has also faded, but I've got a steering wheel wrap over it. Currently, the car is sitting on 16x7 Enkei RS-E's, they can go with the car, but I'm asking $300 for them (I paid $450 for them, with the same tires on them). The tires on them need to be replaced, but it'd still be cheaper than the $1000 the Tire Rack is asking for the same package. Also, there is a set of grey leather TII seats bolted in, but I'd like to get $50 if they go with the car. I've got the stock red leather seats still, but they're somewhat worn and stiff. The car was repainted soemtime in it's life and it looks like a Maaco job. If you buff it out, it looks good, but it soon turns dull again. Car has an original factory bra that goes with it, too. I'd really like to get $600 for the car right now, as I paid $700 to get it. I'll have pictures of it avilable after Monday evening. I'm located in central Pennsylvania, 100 miles east of Pittsburgh and 100 miles west of Harrisburg. We have a trailer and a pick-up, so delivery might be able to be negotiated. My reason for selling? I can see that I'm not going to be able to get this car put back right in the near future and I don't want to see the car sink into the ground. Also, college is coming up soon, and some extra funding for that would be appreciated. If you've got any questions, feel free to e-mail me at: OddCarLuvr@AOL.com.

Thanks,

--Danny

Hi guys,

To everyone who requested them, I've set up a website with the pictures I took of the car. I can take more if requested. The website address is http://members.aol.com/oddcarluvr/myrx7
