Selling a Loved One? How To Do It?
I need to sell my highly modified RX7 w/ an IMSA wide body kit. I just can’t seem to make myself put it on the market. When I get inside to shine things up, the mahogany Dino wheel looks so nice, the upgraded speedo stares at me, etc. I lift the hood & the RB strut tower brace frames that Holley w/ the custom built 13B rotary w/ separate oil lines sooo trick. Every time I try to sell it, I fall in love again. How can I break up & sell?

Ive got the same problem with my 83 GSL, only theres nothing left to stare at since it was all stripped and stolen. My problem is everytime I set my mind on selling it, I start to remember how much I wanted to keep it and restore it, how it wouldnt really take all that much to get the interior back together, etc. Its hard, I know Even with my new project I want to hang on to (85 -SE) with near perfect grey/black interior, only needing minor body work, I have a hard time letting go of my 83 after I get the urge to hang onto it again. I wish I could keep both. Put the 13B turbo in the -SE like I have planned, then a nice ported engine for the 83 or something... Oh well.

well... if you are serious about selling a loved one, I suggest getting some ties on the black market and sell them into slavery.
Now... since you are actually talking about your 7...
The only way possible is to look it over. Do you really have to sell it? Can you survive if you keep it? And can you really live with yourself if you do sell it?
Otherwise, put it on the market but be very picky over who you sell it to. Prefferably sell it to another 7 owner, someone who would appreciate the work you have put into it and (hopefully) get as much enjoyment out of it as you have.
