Seized brake line fitting on caliper

I'm trying to remove one of my rear brake calipers and suprise surprise the fitting is seized. I've been drentching it with PB blaster for a few days and it's still seized up quite badly. Any advice?

Use a propane torch to heat it up a little.

Be very wary about putting heat to the caliper. I don't know of any place that sells rebuild kits for the rear's anymore. But it's about the only way.

Expect to buy a new caliper. The harder thing to find though is the caliper pin. This happened on one my front calipers. I managed to unscrew the pin from the bracket assembly with the caliper still attacked. Even in a vise and using a 20lb sledge I still couldn't get the pin out.

I have a new caliper on the way, and I'm wary about using heat because of rubber hose.

If you unbolt the caliper bracket from the hub you can unscew the hose without twisting it. Then the only thing you risk damaging is the caliper.

When I replaced the Front and Rear Caliper, Rotors and Pads this fall I tried everthing 2 cans of PB Blaster to include Heating up the lines which I caught 1 on fire.
Finally gave up and cut the lines @ the fittings and used a wrench ie closed end or use a deep socket (Forgot Size).
I replaced all 5 lines with Russell Stainless Steel Lines.
Great Investment especialy if you compliment them with the Russell Speed Beeders.
I was not planning on replacing my lines, but I gave up after Bloody Knuckles and Stripped Ends.
22 years of heat will bond them Fittings in pretty good.
I really like the Stainless Steel Lines. No more Soft Feeling and when you have to Stop Quickly the Pedal hardly goes down no matter how hard you Brake.
Just a thought!
