if it makes you feel any better my 7 makes grinding noises in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th gears. (but not 4th???). I straight piped my exhaust and now I can't hear the grinding because of the exhaust noise. LOL

Nice pic, Donna...Just have to change that car, Heh, heh, heh...
Just kiddin', it's a pretty Z type..
When you get a chance, get your Seven up into the air. Drain the trans oil, and while you're at it, drain the rearend oil too. Examine the drain plug. It's magnetic and will probably have a gunky residue around it. If you wanna you might shoot some brake/parts cleaner into the the fill and drain holes and see if anymore "gunk" drains out. Fill both the trans and the rearend with Synthetic Gear Oil. Brand is your choice, I use Mobil 1. Remember to fill to filler hole. Now I'm not going to say that this fixes all trans problems, but it's a good start, and it will help, not hurt. Check your clutch fluid level, and make sure your clutch slave cyl. is in good shape.
When it's cold outside I find my trans is a bit bulky at first, but once warmed up it's fine...Hope this helps.

If it's hard to get into gear from a standstill odd's are it's in the clutch hyd. bad pilot bearing's can cause it also.If the trans makes no noise when in gear I would look more at aposs. hyd's prob.
