Searching for an old Paul Yaw Article

Hey Guys,

There was an article on Paul Yaw's site, way back before he moved to yawpower.com, that showed him and a friend tuning a carb on a dyno. It was illustrating the changes he made while *only* changing the air bleeds and nothing else. It had a series of dyno graphs along with the text.

I know that I found it at one point, the article still exists in the webspace but there's no link to it anywhere on his site. I figure someone around here might have saved it or bookmaked it, and if I knew the name of the file I might be able to get it from his current website...

It was an awesome article and I don't know why he took it down (or maybe he just forgot to re-link?) ...

Anyone?

Jon

No such luck. His old site was stored on a webspace that just looks like his home ISP's webspace or something (http://personal.riverusers.com/~yawpower/), and doesn't show up on archive.

I now eat my words.

If I specified a PAGE at that link in the archive it wouldn't come up, but putting that link right as I posted it into the archive and voila!

Not only that, the link was actually on his page the whole time!!

http://www.yawpower.com/niktest.html

There's the damn page. That Yaw Article I was looking for.

For the Curious...

Off the main page go to Technical Articles
Then you'll notice that the "Race Carbs" link hasn't been taken out of the sidebar on this page. Click that
Then Click "What a Carburetor Should Do"

Then go down under "Width of Powerband" and click the link that says "Here"

Thanks a lot Jon! I just spent an hour researching that article and all of the adjoining links, and haven't gotten a bit of work done yet!

This did remind me that I need to do this tuning for my Sterling carb, which I have intended to do for some time now but haven't gotten around to yet. Which brings me to my next question; where is the best place to get the parts I need to tune this beast? Jets, emulsion tubes, air bleeds, what all do I need to do this right? Any info much appreciated. Thanks! And thanks again for the info...
