One question-- Does a TII exhaust manifold bolt on to an SE 6-port? I'm thinking it does, but I don't want to get to far into the project with out knowing. Thannks.

I've mocked up a '87 T2 manifold to a '84 GSL_SE engine, and the stud pattern matches, but there appears to be slight interference between a casting boss on the center iron and the manifold preventing it from pulling tight. It looks to be a minor issue that could be resolved by grinding a bit off the exhaust flange on the turbo manifold.

It'll bolt on. All 13Bs (except for Mazda factory race peripheral-port housings) have the same exhaust bolt pattern.

However, you probably won't get the turbo to fit with the intake manifold in the way. (It definitely won't work with an FC intake manifold - we tried GSL-SE intake manifold isn't any smaller) Spacers would be needed.

The spacers are custom made using RB plates.
How much boost is determined by too many factors.

Condition of your engine
Fuel - Premium/Race, 91,93,110 octane
Ambient tempertures
Intercooler efficiency
Fuel system - adequate
Ignition system
Boost Retard? Or locked dizzy?
Carbed?
Fuel Injected
Pre-Mix? OMP?

There dozens of factors that one cannot remember at one time.

Basically, 7 lbs or less with a stock compression should be fine. Technically you can go MUCH higher, but everthing else needs to be on par to handle it.

Is your brother's 12A Turbo beating you now?
Now go ask your brother how to do it on the cheap and easy.

he's probably faster, more than likely he is. BUt its going to be easier to turbo mine because I wont have to cannibalize manifold and play frankinstein. Hopefully. Right I'm in the R&D stage of the project.Which is " and "

if you can make the spacer its very little more effort just to make a gsl-se to fc turbo custom manifold. of course at that point you could just put a t04 on there too.....
