I got a couple that have worked well for me.

remove the 2nd'ary throttle plates (better throttle response)
Cone filter with adapter (more air)
Cold/Ram air box (Colder is better)

mods I'm working on now

Pinnapple racing 6 port sleeves
completely removing the ACV from the lower manifold

then construct a better heat shield for it
this is what it looks like done to a 2nd gen intake, I'll do the same to my SE

Geez Max7 that manifold is going to be nothing but weld beads when you're done with it!

I like it.

It will be interesting, going to grind all the welds smooth, then put a full polish on it to match the header

Max,

So you have comepletely removed the secondary throttle plates? What other tips can you give a newbie like me not looking to spend lots of $$ on the RX?

Here is the list so far:

Adapter plate and cone filter(www.intenseperformance.com) on the AFM
Air Pump removed & ACV removed and covered with RB plate
Racing Beat Header installed to cat to muffler - Vroooooom
AC removed
Clutch Fan removed - $10 Oldsmobile unit installed (zip tie )
Timing Advanced slightly
NGK plugs and Wires

Thanks for any advise -

I removed the plates and rods and all coolant lines. then blocked off the holes with some bolts and JB Weld.

Build a cold air box, keep the heat away from the intake

I don't know if it will help much but I and going to try and port out the inside of the the afm. Seeing how its the biggest restriction in the intake I'm thinking that any little bit would help.

might be worth a shot, but without the opening up the next restriction, the throttlebody it may not be noticable
