se fuel pump

i have a 85 se that is carbed and was wondering if i can use the stock fuel pump with a holley fuel pressure regulator

not a holley, but get one that is a "return" style and make sure the return line coming off of it is big so you can get the psi down.

mallory 4309 or aeromotive 13302 (my choice) will work well in your situation.

Most of the carb fprs cannot handle the high pressure of an fi fuel pump. You need to find one that is rated to bring that high pressure down. Otherwise, you just ruin the diaphram in the fpr. Very few fprs have this capabilitiy and you would be better off buying a low pressure fuel pump.

For the price of the 4309, I would buy a low pressure fuel pump instead.
