Question SE data logging suggestions

The title pretty much sums it up. I'm interested in data logging for my SE but aren't too up on my options or what data I'll be able to capture from my ECU. I'm no slouch with PCs, but auto ECUs are new territory for me. The car is still stock w/nothing major done to intake or exhaust...

Any suggestions or links would be awesome. Thx!

its an analog system and it runs on a 12v reference. ive never heard of doing such a thing without an aftermarket standalone which still has to change out all sensors and add new ones. if you could tap in to the stock ecu you would probably only be able to read voltages.

i think you could, but since the car is so old, you actually might be the first to try, and B you'd need an external add on box. it would be relatively easy, as the ECU isn't doing much, and kind of fun.

option B is to build some kind of test board, that simulates all the inputs and outputs, and datalog that.

i say do it, it'll be cool! and if you haven't seen it 1984 Mazda Training Manual
