NC Screws/bolts that hold the doors on

Is there anyway to tighten them up without removing the front fenders? My doors seem to have some play right where they attach to the car.

Thanks

I think if you take the doors off the hinges you can then get to the hinge mounting bolts. I may be wrong, I was going to try replacing a hinge this weekend.

I just finished taking 2 apart and putting one back together. You cant get to the body mount bolts without removing the fender.

But, more than likely, if those bolts were loose, youd know it for sure. The doors would be sagging to the point where they wouldnt close, or theyd be hitting the fenders.

Damn, well that makes my hinge replacement job a hell of a lot harder.

How hard is it to take the fender off to get there? Both of mine do have some, not alot, but some play in them and I would like to get them tightened up.

cant take the wheel liner and get it with a box wrench?

hinges arent loose, the bushings and pins are prolly bad.

i think you can still get the hinges from mazda

This is wrong. I just replaced mine today. You can get at them two ways. You can go from the wheel well up. The other way is to unbolt the door, then use a wrench or 1/4" drive ratchets to get the hinges off.

The best way to go is to use socket caps with a wrench and a socket. I attached a picture of what they are.
