SCCA Class changes for next year
Did you guys realize that next year instead of being in C-stock, non-turbo Rx7s will now be in E-stock?? They are rearranging in a whole bunch of classes and messing with all sort of stuff.
Not sure who all runs SCCA here besides myself and POS, but geez...
a Listing of the new classes:

A comparison of PAX indexes:
http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/indexes/rtp02.html
Anyone know if this will put SP 7s in ESP, or will they stay CSP??

Jeez! I might just be competitive next time out if they change from CSP!( then again, probably not!)
I know I can build a competetive ES car out of a first gen!

Guys,
I don't compete in Solo2, but I am involved in the SCCA from an RX-7 guy's point of view.
Please tell me exactly what the beef is, and I'll pass it along to the people who make rule changes.

How does one tell what class they are in? Is there anyone I can goto and say, I have this car with this, that, and the other things done to it. And they'll say. You can be in this class, or add this and be bumped up to this class, or remove that and be in this lower class.
I have the 2000 SCCA rulebook (Thanks Chuck Clark ) But it's kinda complex... Maybe I gotta sit down and read it a bit closer, but it not the clearest thing in the world.

Take a peek at:
http://www.scca.org/amateur/solo2/classes/index.html
Or just go to an event and ask, they'll normally be someone there who knows!
