Yeah that happens alot. Alot of people are getting scammed on that second chance deal. I sold an item on Ebay and it sold for $2500. The people who didn't win got second chance emails as if it was me, even called themselves "Kim" One of the bidders was smart enough to send me an email asking me if I was selling more, I told that person "No" and they forwarded the email from that scammer to me.
I contacted Ebay's security department, and their response was "since it didn't happen on Ebay there is nothing they can do about it"
I don't know how many people actually fell for the scam, but I did contact all bidders. 2 replied back stating that they sent payment. Ouch!

I find it funny that they're forwarding the email that specifically says to ONLY do it through ebay, not to send directly, and yet people are still falling for it.
If I were to get a second chance offer on something, I'd check to see if it was available through the ebay site, and otherwise I'd decline and tell the person to re-list it and I'd bid.
Stupid scammers. You have to be so alert nowadays.

I've gotten a second chance offer, but it was through ebay. I didn't know that they actually emailed your home email other than your ebay email.
That sucks. He's giving rotary guys more headaches and a bad name.

You need to LOOK HARD at that email.
Perhaps you should click REPLY and watch what the address becomes!
After all this I cannot beleive that you honestly think its from Ebay.
Look carefully at the emails i gave samples of above and inspect your addresses, and stuff.
Let me know what you find.
