smog nazi destroyer
that blows v8kilr. set up some sort of high voltage field runing around the perimiter of your seven, so that when some meter maid comes around and tries to ticket you, they get sent into a wild fit of convultions

The 79-80s have a clock on the dash so the are a little different, but overall shape is same. I could pull the cluster out of the 79 and send it too, possibly, not entirely sure. But I cna most definitly send the 83s.

Ya this all part of a master plan to make a SW33T 4SS RX-7. or at least as far as I am concered. Ya my mom is helping me do custom interior, thnx to V8Kilr I can afford gauges. And I will probably have my girlfriend, who is a great artist, she does Japanese Animation (Anime), do some minor detail work in some spots to make the car look really sweet and a good head turner.

ok sounds good, my can be gone as long as needed cause it is a spare, prob going to do some expirements with the faces I get. Maybe find a way to get indiglo or I could use some of the flexible lights from ThinkGeek to go around the gauges and light them from the sides.

some common uses of places that i would be able to get them cheap.
dont give me your places to buy though,
chances are shipping will be too much,

I'll start digging. The sample sheet was 6" X 10" and I think other sizes were also available. They were for scratch builders and I can't see how $6.95 S/H would bust yer wallet especially since you'll be passing that cost on to the end users. I haven't checked the local Hobbytown lately, so that's another place I'll look. I'm pretty sure the '79-'80 cluster is specific for those years only, BTY....

If the artwork is done on a PC, what format do you need it in to be able to work it into your template for the gauges? What are the constraints? I am an artist and would like to submit a design unique to my car only...

i'd like to see a rotor in place of the "s" and the lettering in black. maybe the rainbow coloring on bat, temp, etc.

i'll take off what you spend on the price of the gauges,
just dont buy a $6.00 box and $6.00 bag of packaging peanuts

Thanks...I'll start scratching up my ideas. A thought...what if original artwork was sent with the cluster for you to scan on your $2200 HP prototype scanner? Would that be easier or would you prefer a big fat Email attachment? I'll check the response tonight...gotta run and do some shopping...thanks for considering all this, killah!

I'll have to dig out one of my science catalogs if you don't have a source for the E-L pads already, but I'm sure it's become a common thing in the model and train hobby biz. I've always wanted to buy one of the sample kits to light up my center console switch pad between the seats but keep getting side-tracked from finishing the aluminum panel. They normally run off a 9 volt source, so some kind of step-down transformer would be needed, I think, for it to run on the car's electrical system...obviously, if you could pull this off, it would be worth much more than your current effort, monetary-wise. I'm sure a lot of rexrs would step up to the plate for the real thing, too...food for thought....

i have to scan on my moms,
it hits 2,400 dpi though
then edit and print on mine,
anyway if your drawing the stuff its gonna be a bitch to clean it up after its been scanned in,
wait till you scan it and look over it,
then lmk.
