They are the doors from the Turd, a brown 85 GSL with power windows. I've still got those but I was going to keep the window hardware in case I need parts for my other GSLs. Otherwise the doors are available too, free of course, just pick them up. Or anyone else, if you don't want them Pip.

I love my manual doors. Just don't like the rust. Give me a little bit of time to get the FB back up and running and I will head up there and pick them up. Shouldn't be to hard changing out the hardware. That is if the 83 door hardware will fit in the 85 door.

You got it, I'll put them aside for you. They don't have any rust, the driver's side has had a dent repaired but it was done pretty well.

The rear bumper is still available to anyone willing to come take it off, anyone interested? Otherwise it's headed for the scrap heap.

It's great you kept the beast and are getting it back on the road. And Pip I feel your pain, here's what happened to me yesterday on the ride home:

Caused by one of those massive retreads the truckers leave on the highway, they save money on cheap tires and we pay. I even got to talk with the truckers, sitting on the side of the road a hundred yards from the retread with a completely bald rear tire waiting for the road repair truck.

Of course it wasn't THEIR retread. Yeh fright, I did my best to explain why they are wrong. And if they don't pay up I tell you who they are, you don't want to be doing business with cheaters.

So anyway I've still got the spare parts and even more, since I decided to keep my tan 84 GSL for parts instead of fixing it up to sell. I need it for the front end pieces and the left front fender will replace a blemished on one my new silver 85 GSL. But now I have two complete parts cars so there's a lot of stuff left over. Let me know what you need, maybe I can help out.

And let us know how it goes.

Ray,

I guess i just need to take a weekend and come see you. Pick your brain from some ideas with mine. Maybe soon will have a house and I will be able to work on it more than I do now.

Sux about your car man. First truck i bought with in 5 hours a retread smacked the front of it. from then on out I didn't care about the truck .. 5 years later it was still running. Really sorry about the car though man. That sucks.
