Do a search using the words Sa struts. There was a thread maybe a couple of weeks ago that we had a link to a place that still has some old koni's at a fantastic price. www.garage or something along those lines.
I posted in it also so you could do a search for my posts but I warn you I do alot of posting.lol.

Quite welcome Doc. I think the thread was tried once, but it started getting a lot of excess stuff posted in it.
Perhaps we could get a list made, stickied, and locked. Then a mod could add/delete vendors as needed.

Don't buy those old Konis!
I've been through two sets. One lasted eight months, the other two weeks.
They're old and the seals have gone, so they lose all pressure and become useless very quickly.

I'm sure these can be rebuilt, but the cost would be prohibitive, since Koni doesn't warranty these strut inserts anymore.
If you want to use later model strut inserts, you don't have to swap strut housings. Mine are simply cut down and re-welded. The inside diameter is close enough that it doesn't matter and the top nuts clamp down and hold the new inserts perfectly. Be aware that if you go this route, you will still need to secure 81 and up strut mounting blocks, as the '79-80 ones are a different shape and will not work with the new struts. Since I run camber plates, that wasn't a concern for me.
If you do cut your strut housings down, be sure and cut above the spring perch. This increases suspension travel without altering ride height or geometry in any way. I found that my car no longer bottomed out on hard corners over uneven surfaces after I had my struts cut, so it was a beneficial mod in more ways than one.
