Question s5 timing?

Engine revs up smoothly and idles!,BUT if on road(test drive) car pulls hard in 1st gear, when going to 2nd engine power goes down?Ichecked fuel level in ida(24.2mm)float level, boosters is dripping a little bit while idling, .Whole ignition system been upgrated(3 new ciols, modules, plugs, etc) .Imoved dizzy around but the timimng marks on the pully wont line with the pointer so timing is not correct, jumped a tooth ,then engine wont start, put back two tooths =wont start. If i put it on first mark(leading) and aline it up with pointer, aline dizzy marks and put it in ,it will start, revs up etc.
HOW do i get the timing right?
Please help!

THANK YOU

I looked inside the dissy and saw that the pickup(leading) and rotor is not alined straight. There are marks on the casing and it can be loosen(pickup) to move it up or down!.The mark of the pickup and mark on casing is about 5mm out ,can this be the problem?
