Thumbs up rx7world.com RULEZ!!! check out this story

Some of you may remember me as having all the bin rust and leaky rear end problems...well no more! Follow along with this story.

Once upon a time I needed a spare tire, I checked eBay and found one that a co. called RX7World was selling. After I won the bid I received an email from the owner telling me I won but also had a link to his website. I checked out all the other stuff on his site and ordered a replacement dome light lens along with my eBay winning.

In the next few weeks I've been needing other parts, like a rear end, gas tank etc...

The owner of RX7World and I got to talking and he mentioned he had an RX7 sitting in his lot that is entirely intact and just needs a rear-end and front angle arm.

By this time I had already gotten a rear end and my angle arm was fine...we talked a little more and it turned out he needed a delivery from my local area to his shop and if I did that I could come and trade in my rusty rex for his pristine rex. A few days later I took the trip...12 hours later I arrived at his shop with his delivery and my rex...we started immediately...

Day 1 - Changed out the passenger side strut and angle arm.

Day 2 - Changed out the rear end

Day 3 - Test drive and diagnosing. Replaced the fuel pump, various engine sensors.

Day 4 - Changed out little things like, rear hatch, interior parts etc...then drove home...because of timing, I left other stuff off till I got home, like a tune up, power steering pump replacement, and exhaust replacement.

During that time I learned ALOT and eventhough he was busy building his new garage, he was more than helpful when I got stuck. I'm even buying back the original engine so I have a spare! He's definitely someone that will get my business first and if you guys ever need anything for your RX7's you should look him up. He even does price matching and customer satisfaction is priority #1.

aftermarket carpets suck...try to at least get a good used set...he has the red ones from my original black rex that were in pretty good condition...you can ask him about that...

how is it pricey? i just went to mazdatrix.com and noticed their prices are consitantly higher than rx7world.com

PLUS if you read above I mentioned he does price matching...another thing is if you don't see what you need on his site send him an email...he will most likely have the parts you need...

I like your new color!

But I've never seen your old cars color. Seems very unique! Is that a factory color?

Anyways, nice work on your car. Got any more pics? Thanks for the link!

I have a 1985 parts car with a red interior. Let me know if you need anything. I can ship fairly small stuff easy.

I appreciate that Rutnik...I may take you up on that offer...I haven't done much to the interior yet...I'm gonna do a really good cleaning this weekend to see where I'm at as far as what needs replaced...overall the interior is fully entact 'cept for the drivers seat rip you see in the pic. The steering column was apart because we were switching locks from the black rx to the white. both cars had red interior so i traded of the bad with the good...one sad part was no leather...the black had leather but it was so brittle that the 12 hour drive ripped the seats even more...so i let them go...

well, let me know. I can ship most anything from the interior but the seats would be somewhat difficult.

hahaha...that is kinda crazy looking...but the car was harnessed on from the front tires and front arm and rear axle...when i got home the front driver side harness came off but the chains holding the front arm and rear axle held the car in place really good...
