Thumbs down RX7 Owners WORST NIGHTMARE --- PICS!!@@@

Well heres the story.. A few weeks ago someone I know from school is like "hey! I got an RX7, just like yours!" and im like oh yeah? and hes like yah, were gunna get it runnin!" Im like ohh, ok. This person is a stupid bastard who got a 1985 S from a guy at work... from what ive heard, this car was near perfect, minus a few things... however still better condition than my car..

So anyway, a few weeks go by, and hes like hey! we gave up on that piece of **** rotating engine, its a shitmobile, you want it for parts?? and im like hell yah, score.. I try to get ahold of him after that for roughly a week to no prevail...

And one day he comes to where I work and is like doooooood, i dont think you want that car anymore ... and im like why, ill still take it. Well before I go on, realize these are stupid, pothead rednecks im dealing with here. Hes like haha yah, we got all **** drunk the other night and we took 30-6 and 2-12 guages to it....oh and a sledge hahaha we kicked that cars *** haha im like oh ****, there goes the windsheild, some glass, prolly a few panels.. so i says yah, ill take it anyway...well, I drove out there (15 miles into the sticks) and what I saw would make any RX7 enthusiest cry...so im like holy hell, i wander around the car for a bit, im like soo, was this good? "yah" how bout this? "yah" and i was so pissed off....but im like ok, ill take it. Can we fill these tires? "doubtful, we shot the fu*k out them bastard, hyuk!" so im like fu*k it, tow this **** home, ill steer.. So, on 3 flats and a tireless rim, i steer the poor beast home.

I get her home. All 15 miles. It was the worst ride eVAh. So the next day me and two buddies set out to get whatever was left of her out and put in the shed. We got alot of parts, but then again not so many.. They hadput 30-6 holes in the: Gas tank, rear diff, radiator, AC pump, alternator, distributor, lights (all), body panels, glass (all), tires (all) and numerous other parts I couldve used.... So we strip it down to the block..and im like wow, too bad we cant get the tranny.. and then im like haha, lets flip it over and drop it out haha and then i thought hey.....why the christ not..

So I tired the left side of the car (door latch) and wrapped it around the roof, and tied the other end to my wagon, I had two ppl lift up, I floored it, and the sucker fipped upright, so I put a box under it and pulled it tight so it wouldnt go anywhere... we undid the bolt, tied another rope around the motor and tranny, and pulled it out with a ford probe. Meanwhile i was looking at the tranny and to my horror I found a 30-6 entry wound right into the tranny Im not sure if the motor would be a candidate for a rebuild or streetport..but it may very well be,., only 123K on the clock...I just cant believe what hell that car went thru.. and to think, it had a perfect windsheild!!

You might wanna brace yourself.....

Holy ****,

I can't stand hill billies, and they are all the same. Dumb *****!!! Ruining a car that was in great shape.
I'm sure you can still use alot of brake parts, suspension and the fuel pump, Door seals, anything that is still alright.

Sorry to hear about this case, If I was in you situation I'd be sooooo pissed off. Especially cuz around here rx7's are hard to come by and that one looked pretty good.

brake parts, suspension and the fuel pump, Door seals,
Yah, thats basically why I took it.. They were gonna just dump it in the woods anyway.. However the Fuel pump was gone, suspension was rusted/broken/S, but yeah I got more than enough to make it worth while..

The pictures aren't loading very quickly, but the story is enough. Who the hell could do that to such a beautiful car? The number of 7s out there decreases every day

Kids got it too easy in this country. We don't have enough hardship, and they don't grow up with any appreciation or respect as a result.

As for guns, I love guns. I love cars, too. But both gun and driving liscence requirements in this country have the dickometer level set far too low. It's far too easy to get a liscence for a gun or car here.

IMO, you should be required to pass a very serious test for either to demonstrate that that you're not a complete and utter ******* moron.

...'Round full circle to what I first said- the current situation for obtaining these privilages was fine about 4 decades and earlier, but by todays standards of adolescent behavior, these things should be changed.

-Maybe people would grow up earlier like they used to.

The sheer degree of stupidity is astonishing. These guys must have no care for money at all. It wouldn't have mattered if it was a Ford Tempo, they still could have sold it for something. It's like throwing out a 18th century Pursion rug because its dirty......I live in the land of rednecks and at least our "good ol boys" will try to sell the ****.

I'm going to resist my tendency to turn this into a gun thread.

This may sound mean, but all the stupid people out there with absolutely no common sense are killing evolution in our gene pool. I say we round these fools up and shoot 'em.

Now that statement looks to me like such an obvious invitatation- almost a plea for someone else to do just that.

I have to think it's in reaction to what I said?...

Well, people in this nation are very adamantly on one side of the gun control fence or the other, and there's simply no changing anyones mind. But that was NOT at all my point. I don't care if you own a Howitzer, as long as you past a test attesting to the fact that you're;
A) Intelligent enough to understand what the damage can do, and:
B) Positively not certifiable.

The education required to fill a low level job position in order to feed your family is higher than that required to own a machine designed to kill.
THAT does'nt make sense to me.

All that being said, I do love guns. I'm just afraid of alot of the nimrods around here that own closet fulls of them.

As pertainant only to this thread, I brought the gun "thing" up only because the kid stated the fact that he and his buddies were drinking when they did that.

That's all.

What was wrong with the car before the stupid hicks shot it up? I live near Madison, Wisconsin, and I might have paid a few hundred bucks if it was repairable.

Kids these days, what'd ya gonna do.

Speaking of wrecked 1st gens, I don't know if you've all seen this story, but I thought it was interesting.
