Someone pop in the new DVD release of "Back to the Future"... Part 1, near the beginning, about 20 mins in... Right after the battle of the bands, when Marty and Jennifer are walking through the parking lot, theres a Yellow Mazda that backs out of a parking space. One of the emblems on the back looks like it has a large "R" in it... Either it says RX-something or it's the "Rotary Engine" emblem found on SA22's and older Rotary vehicles... Can anyone Identify this mystery car?

My zoom function provides very little detail.

 

Ummm, I hate to say this but, that an old HONDA hatchback that's backing out of the parking space. I didn't even zoom in to have to see that. Then again we did own one a long time ago....that might help.

 

i cant seem to find it either i'll look agian. i know there is another one somewere in the movie, infront of the gym when he is riding past, or maybe i dreamt that

 

ive seen a beautiful blue rx-7 in a cheezy low budget movied called "Redline" if there was one good reason to rent the movie it would be to see that fb for a split second, other than that the movie is a piece of ****...

Nah.. It said Mazda, I'm sure of it. I didn't have to zoom to see the word Mazda... but I wanted to see the other emblems.

 

There is a whole 5 mins of RX-7 action in the Howling 1 or 2 , I forget which one. A first gen gets destroyed by werewolves and blown up.

 

I just saw a commercial for Saiontz, Kirk, and Miles (lawyers) where they show a beautiful white GSL-SE, and then it gets rear ended by an SUV, WTF?

 

That isn't Pentagon City as in Pentagon City, Virginia is it??? The one with the snooty mall, directly across the highway from the Pentagon shaped building known as the Pentagon?

 

I hope the commercial was something like..

"Cruising along, showing off in your Mazda? Attracting attention and enjoying your self? Then, a jealous SUV driver dents up your prescious RX-7?

Call us. We work for you. We will track down the owner of that SUV, and beat him senseless. We will force his family into slavery to earn back the cost of damages, and then sign all of their future wages over to you, in a special Mazda tuning account, where you are free to modify your 7 as you please.

...And remember, we don't get paid unless you do. And even then, we will just use the money to buy you more Mazda stuff."

What about the one in Basic Instinct? Where is it? Someone mentioned that there's a chase scene through the mountains? Who drives it? Michael Douglas has a Mustang in that movie, I believe...

 

I watched that scene about 10 times......The yellow car is a honda civic...if anyone cares that green datsun next to thehondas licsence plate says"for mary"....The orange Z shows up like 5 times in that scene.....BTW cause Im a stickler for detail.....The guitar Marty played at the dance in 1955 was not period correct...If there was a es-335 in 1955 it would have had a dot neck...Also all the hardware on the guitar has an aged look

I remember the lawyer commercial but I thought they hit the front of the car not the rear they may have destroyed a really nice car with no other damage DAMN LAWYERS!!!

I still want one of those, but probably an Epi model. My Epi LP cherry sunburst kicks ***! Except for the crappy electronics.

Another one: if you watch the first Die Hard movie there's an early '80s RX7 driving just behind the terrorists trucks as they turn and begin to go into the Nakatome (?) plaza underground parking garage...
