Looks good. I am anxious to see the final product, with clear and a nice polish.

Keep up the good work!

The paint itself was $400, primer and prep materials around 150. I just took the key locks out and welded a piece of scrap metal behind and filled the hole with bondo and finisher. Took the carpet and seats out, front and rear windshield and the bumper covers came off. I bought 2 new fenders and a front cover (the car was vandalized) for about $500 and the rest was blood sweat and tears. I did the underside of the hood, the door jams and everything, and I put a new windshield in for the hell of it (was only $200 more). Whole thing took about 6 weeks... I did all the prep work after a full day of work and sprayed the primer and base and finish over 2 weekends. After the final coat was done I got a few buddies to hand finish it with wet block and rubbing compound. No clear coat, just a nice hand finished wet sand.

*Blushes* Thanks. It was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it.
I have pics of the door jams and hood, but thats kinda boring. Except I got all the Spec stickers reprinted. The Mazda dealer actually got me reprints for $15

you bastard. You stole my color idea. Looks amazing. I can't wait until I can afford to do my car how I want it. Congrats on the sweet paintjob.

Ya, no clear... instead of clearing it, you use sanding blocks to get the finish smooth, then you polish it till it looks like glass. It gives more depth to the paints finish IMO.

Have you tried to put the side moldings on?

I was thinking of leaving them off. If i put them on, i'll have to ruff the pain up with some 800grit or something first
