Well if thats directed at me, no worries, I can see the little red lines on my tac, and I know that I didn't build my engine. I am not that good at math, but I can figure some stuff out.

So when he is launching, he is launching at his redline then? Must have to shift right away into 2nd, like right quick... I am just trying to figure how you can launch at your redline, or do your rpms drop when the clutch is dumped, they must. I have never owned or seen a hi reving hi powered rotary b4...not sure how they work.

Did you end up selling your blow thru setup for a EFI one, I wanted my car to be like your blow thru SE motor setup?
btw hows the car running with the new motor?
nah i still have it here, i have the FI for the winter, because it start better @ 30 and below degrees and the new TII engine, it feels good. i love it and i havent had any issues of course it still in the break in part because it only have 240 miles since rebuild and i pretty surprise that been a street port engine, is quieter and doesnt vibrate as much like the SE engine. i still havent drove it yet because i dont have a driveshaft hopefully soon

i cant launch too high
rear shocks are dead... no power to ground
wheels just spin freely
can be quite fun

but very expensive on rubber
cheaper in the wet

10500 wasnt my redline, it was the rev limit The only reason I launched at those RPMs was to stop the car bogging off the line. I shifted at arount 8500rpm usually as the car made no more power above that anyway

I consistently rev to 7k+ on my stocker (power shifting) . I use the rev alram as a shift indicator.

On quite a few occasions I've missed 3rd and and the tach "tached out" actaully staying at the limit of needle for a moment.

engine has 166k on it and still runs strong.
ran a best time of 9.76 in the eighth. on shitty 205-60's.
it would hang with stock 89-93 stang until about 80.

maybe i just have good luck.

as soon as he dumps the clutch and launches the rpms will drop - 10500 in first gear is a much higer speed than you would be going right off the line. when u rev up the engine before your launch the engine is doing work to get it up to that rpms and it achieves a much higher momentum. when you dump the clutch, the car is getting propelled by the combination of torque produced by the fuel and the torque produced by the high momentum of the rotating mass of the engine
