Rpm's when Launching.

Nah, depends on your clutch man, try 3500 but dont just hold it at 3500, blip it between 3000 and 3500 and slip the clutch. That is if you're at the track. Working the accelerator pump that way gets a little extra fuel in there for a good launch or so it would seem.

oh ****,, these guys...lol
Off the line launching is an art form..
1st gen rx7's and even rx2's just seem to hook up.
it takes some time too and practice.. it's a fine line between hooking up, or spinning out (up in smoke)

Well launching with a 12a with a turbo is a very fine line between bogging and near-uncontrolable wheel spin. Has a lot to do with easing off the gas just enough and then floor it and not too soon or too late or I will lose.

On street tyres, it just comes down to practise. I cut a 1.7 60ft on street tyres.
What I found effective was to find a sweet RPM point where the car wont bog, and keep the RPMs there by slipping the clutch out and pushing the accelerator in as you take off.

let me see, my car with s#^t tires, 203 hp on a SE turbo engine and SE tranny with stock clutch and stock 20 year old suspension ill launched it at 3k-3500 and that been easy with the clutch so i dont have too much wheelspin but right in 3 gear it started to spin the clutch alot

AJC13B's redline was 10k + rpm because his engine was made to get that high, on a stock 12a your redline is 6800 RPM, please do not try to make your 12a go that high or you blow it
